ABIA IS NOW READY FOR SERIOUS GOVERNANCE – SAYS HON AMOBI OGAH.
As a member of Abia Governor-elect, Dr Alex Otti’s transition committee, I am particularly honoured to be a part of this assemblage of technocrats, academics and captains of industries who have been called upon to uphold the capacity and drive the vision of Dr Alex Otti for a productive Abia State.
The decision to host the maiden meeting of the Transitional Committee of the incoming Labour Party led Government of Abia State is very strategic and well conceived. Given the enormous technological and human potentials of Aba, the Eyimba City has shown serious potentials to truly be the Japan of Africa in commerce, including production, although these potentials have remain grossly underutilized. I believe the incoming Labour Party Government have shown the commitment to pursue this noble cause from the onset of our campaign. We simply can’t wait to kick the ball rolling.
I also wish to reaffirm my commitment to our incoming State Government’s mission to drive Abia along the pragmatic ideas of our party leaders; the prudent economist, Dr Alex Otti and His Excellency, Mr Peter Obi, who’s consumption to production mantra embodies the vision that will place Abians on the path of progress.
My strategic position in the corporate world as the founder and CEO of one of Africa’s fast rising oil and gas conglomerate, as well as my legislative tasks at the Green Chambers of the National Assembly also offers me the opportunity to give all necessary assistance and support needed to make Abia better. Labour Party will use Abia as a standard for other States of the federation to follow suit.
As a legislature-elect, I will continues to offer all official and personal support that is required to make Isuikwuato/Umunneochi LGAs’ a key beneficiary of the State Government’s vision to make Abia a model State. The agricultural, economic, educational and human potentials of my people; the people of Isuikwuato and Umunneochi Federal Constituency are enormous, and the incoming State Government will tap these potentials for the benefit of Abia. May Abia succeed.
– Amobi Ogah (Member-elect, Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency.).
