Abia State Labour Party Governorship candidate, Dr Alex Otti on Wednesday, 9th November, 2022 led a delegation of stakeholders of the Party, including Chief Amobi Ogah (House of Rep candidate, Isuikwuato/Umunneochi), Sam Iro (Senate, Abia North) and the Isuikwuato born legal luminary – Ken Ahia (SAN) to Ovim, Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State to commensurate with Former Chief of Army Staff, General Azubuike Ihejirika over the demise of his cousin, Chief Madukwe Onyeabor.
Amongst other speakers, Dr Otti described the late Chief Madukwe as a good man who left solid imprints and positive legacies worthy of emulation. Responding, Gen Ihejirika thanked the delegation for their visit and assured that the visit will go a long way to console bereaved members of his family. Similarly, Chief Amobi Ogah and Ken Abia (SAN) consoled the Onyeabor family and also described Gen Ihejirika as an uncommon Man who brought honour to Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State and Nigeria during his time as the Country’s Chief of Army Staff. They prayed that God will grant the deceased an eternal rest and grant his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
In another development, Chief Amobi Ogah have described the Labour Party as the Party of the moment, whose manifesto and candidates reflects the aims and aspirations of the people. He appealed to all Abians to support the party’s candidates as well as to vote for the Party at all levels. Amobi Ogah assured the people of Isuikwuato/Umunneochi that Labour Party will restore hope and his journey to represent them at the National Assembly will yield positive fruits for the advancement of a President Peter Obi people oriented policies at the National Assembly.
